Employees and workers* all have many rights which have developed over the past forty years but mainly in the last dozen or so. You can find a full list of those rights that can be enforced through an Employment Tribunal at www.employmenttribunals.gov.uk/
See the Services area for some of the more common employment law topics on which I as a solicitor can help you.
I am available to help you identify what rights may have been abused or ignored and to try to ensure that they are protected or, if it is too late, compensation is obtained for you or there is no other remedy.
I will normally be happy to spend a few minutes on the phone discussing your problem whether it is simply advice about a new contract or if things are going wrong at work. If you need more than a nudge in the right direction then I would need to see you. I do not charge for the first hour for those who are without a job and who have exhausted any pay in lieu.
* Broadly, a “Worker” is someone who is not an employee but who habitually works for the same business under a contract.
