My Costs and No Win No Fee

My fees

I do not charge for the first hour’s initial advice to those who are out of work and outside the period covered by pay in lieu.

As I say elsewhere my fees are highly competitive because of the way I work. Contact me and I can give you an estimate for initial advice once I have an idea of the problem. When I have full grasp of what is involved I can give and will advise you whether I think it is economic for you to use my services in the light of what you may be claiming.

No win no fee

The answer is “yes”, I do undertake cases on a no win/no fee type of basis.

I first have to get a good handle on the issues which means we will need to meet to discuss the issues and get your full account of the problem. I will normally charge for initial advice to deal with this but if I am prepared to take the case on this type of basis will defer payment of the initial fees until the end of the case.

I will only very rarely accept a case for no win/no fee type without meeting you.

Public Funding

This is what most people still think of as Legal Aid. To the very limited extent that it is available in employment law matters I do not offer it.
