Many of my clients overlook the fact that they may have insurance to cover their legal expenses for employment related problems. Some people have dedicated policies for this but quite often businesses and employees have legal expenses cover “bolted on” to their property insurance or similar policies and because the premium is often small forget about it. I strongly advise that you check this out.
You may be able to get initial telephone advice from your insurers’ help line but remember that if a Tribunal case starts you may select YOUR OWN SOLICITOR and do not have to accept the insurers’ own panel solicitor who may be many miles away and have no personal commitment to you.
